STEP 1: Run LiveUpdate  

1. Start Norton. 

2. In the main window, click Security, and then click LiveUpdate. 

3. When Norton LiveUpdate is finished, click OK. 

4. Run LiveUpdate until you see the message, “Your Norton product has the latest protection updates.” 

5. Exit all the programs, and restart the computer. 

6. If the problem persists even after the restart, go to Step 2.  

STEP 2: Download and run the Reinstall tool and Norton Remove 

1. Download the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. 

2. Save the file to the Windows desktop. On some browsers, the file is automatically saved to its default location. 

3. To open the Downloads window in your browser, press the Ctrl + J key. 

4. Double-click the NRnR icon. 

5. Read the license agreement, and click Agree. 

6. Click Remove & Reinstall. 

7. You may see the Remove button if your Norton product is from your service provider. 

8. Click Continue or Remove. 

9. Click Restart Now.
